Thanks to his international experience he will provide an additional stimulus in, among other things, communicating with the capital markets.”In 1998 Dominique Yates joined Imperial Tobacco Group, the world’s fourth-largest tobacco company, which is listed on the London and New York Stock Exchanges. He was Group Financial Controller for 3 years before assuming operating responsibilities. As Group Business Development Director, he played a major role in formulating corporate strategy and in integrating several acquisitions and brands. Before joining Imperial Tobacco he was employed in the finance departments of SmithKline Beecham and Dixons and with Arthur Andersen. Yates is a chartered accountant with a degree in economics from Bristol University.
